the soho elecric sound principles

so, soho electric -what';s it all about? - well, we like to describe soho electric as the sound of fun lovin', euphoric, switched-on metropolitan glam - basically, good-time party music that you can shake your ass to. catchy, big-city-nightlife tunes sung by super-soul voices over bangin' babylondon-vibe club beats.

its the sound of 40 years of pop history mashed up with the futuristic electronica of the acid house revolution - think sam cooke meets mylo, the beach boys meet basement jaxx. it's a mix of synths, sequencers & samplers in full-circuit  meltdown mode; funky-chicken-scratchin' wah-wah + sweet spanish guitars; honkin'+ stonkinc beats + groovy basslines from both the handbag and hardbag schools; memorable, hummable melodies; vocalists who sing with real passion; & finally, a crucial element - huge wall-of-sound stacked vocal harmonies - all brewed up in a fun + phunky psychedelic casserole of pop, soul, rnb, house, disco & garage.

who puts the fun in dysfunctional? who takes the revs out of reverence? who puts a wiggle in your walk & a boogie-licious audio hand grenade in yr mind? u got it automatic, 4 the people: soho electric. so…kick back & relax to these trax, comin’ straight from the glitzy + grimy heart of the metropolis.
